We aren't in a life and death situation in these circumstances. If a doctor has 15 yrs experience and 100's of saved cancer free patients you would listen to him intently. you would not buy into their belief about your health So say doctor a i 3 yrs out of med school, has 4 complaints about them for miss diagnosis. You would not want a 1yr doctor to diagnose your cancer and prescribe treatment without a second opinion or considering how good a doctor is. If they are talking about how a boat is performing then i say your stats matter a lot to the validity of the argument. If your example of a person presenting something is not about the performance of a ship then i would agree. this is a game and this is a game that people pay attention to stats.
